Part 1: Overview of Victorian Water Resources
Part 1 of the State Water Report 2003-2004 is an overview of Victoria's water resources. The overview is a commentary on the status of our water resources in 2003/04 and, where available, uses data from previous years to help identify emerging issues and trends. Water information is summarised at a statewide level and includes aspects such as the availability of water in 2003/04, how much water was used for consumption, and the volume of entitlements to water.- Foreword

Part 2: State Water Accounts
Part 2 of the report presents information for each of Victoria's 29 river basins on water availability and use for surface water, groundwater and recycled water. There is a chapter for each river basin, which includes a map showing significant water resources in the basin, an overview of seasonal conditions affecting water resource availability and use, total volume of water resources available and volume available to the environment, and volumes of water used for different purposes.
