Storage Levels - September 2009

Storage levels increased significantly in many areas in September. Storages levels in supply systems such as the Grampians, Ballarat and Bendigo, while still critically low, finished the month at significantly higher levels than they were at the end of September last year.  

This month, the total volume in the state’s major storages increased by 4.4% to 24.2% of capacity.

Melbourne's storages increased by 4.2% over the month to 32.6% of capacity. This is 1.9% lower than at the same time last year.

Regional water storages increased by 4.4% to 23.0% of capacity at the end of September.
