Urban Water Restrictions - September 2009
On 16 September, Goulburn Valley Water reduced Stage 2 restrictions for Euroa and Violet Town to Stage 1. On 21 September, Central Highlands Water removed Stage 3 restrictions on Amphitheatre, while North East Water removed Stage 1 restrictions on Whitfield, Curryong and Cudgewa on 22 September.
328 Victorian towns were on restrictions on 30 September 2009. Of these, 80 were on Stage 1 restrictions, 29 were on Stage 2, 53 were on Stage 3, 19 on Stage 3a, 105 on Stage 4 with general exemptions and 42 on Stage 4.
Approximately 195 towns were not on water restrictions but were subject to Permanent Water Saving Rules.
