The Victorian Water Resources Data Warehouse is a central online database which provides comprehensive community access to high quality data and is vital in maximising value from government investment in water resources monitoring.

The site gives access to both raw and summary data on water quality and quantity throughout Victoria, and is a central repository for published documents produced from this data.

Mapshare

A key feature of the data warehouse is Mapshare. This online mapping interface allows users to create custom maps, undertake simple GIS analysis through an Internet browser, and interact with many layers of data.

Data currently being collated includes information on groundwater management areas, streamflow management plan boundaries, water supply protection areas and sustainable diversion limit catchments. Some of these data layers will be downloadable, either as a shapefile for input into a GIS or as an excel file for analysis.
