Victoria’s Water Plan is all about saving, creating and sharing.
It’s saving water.
Modernising our leaky old irrigation system will save billions of litres of water every year with over 80% going to our farmers and rivers.
It’s creating water.
The new desalination plant will create enough water for up to one third of Victoria’s household needs.
It’s sharing water.
Expanding the state water grid means water can now be shared among more of our drought affected towns and rivers.
Many of these projects are already delivering more water every year.
