Submissions & Independent Panel Findings
The Victorian Government held two separate submission periods following the release of the Discussion Paper in December 2005 and following the release of the Draft Strategy in April 2006.
In total over 430 submissions were received from a broad range of organisations, local councils, interest groups and individuals. These contributions were considered in the development of the Final Strategy, released in October 2006.

Independent Panel's Findings - 19 July 2006
Establishing an Independent Panel for the Central Region SWS is a legal requirement under the Water Act (1989). The Independent Panel provided advice and recommendations to the Government throughout the development of the Strategy. The Independent Panel considered all submissions prior to presenting their findings and recommendations report to the Government.
