- Gippsland Water Factory: $25 million for water recycling for industrial use in Gippsland.
- Alpine Resorts Recycling: $5 million for water recycling at Mount Hotham and Mount Buller to increase the security of the water supply and to protect the sensitive mountain environment.
The VWT has also made significant contributions to the following large infrastructure projects:
- Over $49 million towards the Wimmera Mallee pipeline; and
- $50 million towards the State Water Plan’s Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project in the Goulburn-Murray region.
The funds of the Victorian Water Trust are now largely allocated.
The VWT Advisory Council has sought to maximise the leverage potential of the Trust. As a result, many VWT projects have included investment from other sources, such as the Commonwealth Government, water authorities and the private sector. In many instances, local communities are responsible for delivering the on-ground works supported by the VWT. All of these partners contribute to the impact of VWT investment.
