Showerhead Exchange Programs
Swap your old showerhead for a water-efficient one for free with your water retailer.
All you need to do is:
- Register online with your water retailer: City West Water; Yarra Valley Water; or South East Water.
- Visit your water retailer's head office or a special exchange location.
- Bring your old showerhead, a water bill and a completed exchange form from the website.
- Go home and install your showerhead (instructions are available from your retailer).
If you live in regional Victoria, contact your local water corporation to find out how to exchange your showerhead for free.
In addition to the showerhead exchange program offered by your local water retailer, there is a range of other targeted Government programs that offer the replacement of showerheads:
Water Wise
Water Wise is a joint initiative between the Department of Human Services (DHS) and your local water corporation, aimed at reducing your water bill by providing you with a free water audit and repair or replacement of inefficient water fittings.

Energy Saver Incentive Scheme
The Energy Saver Incentive Scheme aims to make energy efficiency more affordable for all Victorians. Discounts and special offers are available on selected energy saving products including low flow shower roses through participating businesses.
