WaterSmart Program
WaterSmart is a program to help people reduce water use in their homes by making water saving even easier. It is part of the State Government’s commitment to reward and encourage the great efforts made by Melburnians so far.
Around 100,000 households in metropolitan Melbourne and 10,000 households from Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong have been invited to participate.
Eligible households participating in WaterSmart receive a 12-month guided program where they are provided with specialist advice and helpful ideas on managing water consumption more efficiently at home. In some cases water assessments and products are also provided. By the end of the program participants will enjoy bigger water savings and a reduction in their water bills.
Programs in Melbourne and Geelong are well underway and fully subscribed.
