How it Works

Schools must complete each of the milestones in the Water Learn it! Live it! program in the Bronze, Silver or Gold category.

Communicate learnings to the school community through the school newsletter or website
Students communicate learnings from one year level to another

National Water Week or World Water Day
Participate in National Water Week or World Water Day (at least one year level)
Participate in National Water Week or World Water Day (Whole school focus)
Students and/or teachers organise and host a National Water Week or World Water Day event
Professional Development Sessions
Minimum of one teacher attends one Water - Learn it! Live it! professional development session each year
Minimum of one teacher presents at one Water - Learn it! Live it! professional development session each year
School hosts a professional development session for teachers from other schools each year
Consumption
Knowledge of the Schools Water Efficiency Program
Monitor water consumption and begin to make changes
Submit a Water Management Action Plan with your local water retailer
